Aerosmith’s next tour could be their last

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sad news for Aerosmith fans, with the 'Dream On' lead singer Steve Tyler declaring that the band could be due to split - with the next tour being their last ever, Gigwise said.

The rock icons last performed together last Autumn in Moscow, before the band took some time apart for Tyler to focus on his solo career - much to guitarist's Brad Whitford's dismay.

Now, their future beyond 2017 looks in doubt.

"I'm doing 30 [solo] shows from May until August," Tyler told Rolling Stone. "And then in 2017 we go out with Aerosmith."

He continued: "We're probably doing a farewell tour. Look, there's two bands that still have the original members, us and the Stones. I'm grateful for that.

"Whether we do a farewell tour or go into the studio and do another record, I'm just excited about it."

Whitford has voiced his disappointment in the move - saying that he feels 'abandoned' by Tyler.

"Steven doesn't want to do it," he told Billboard, of working with Aerosmith. "It's unfortunate. We kind of feel a little bit abandoned by him. I guess he seems to think his solo career is going to go great guns, and he doesn't seem to realise that - in my opinion - his fans around the globe want to see him in the context of Aerosmith and don't really care for whatever he thinks he's gonna do."

He added: "I don't know if he gets that but, hey, that's what he wants to do. I can't put a gun to his head. It's just pretty disappointing."

Last year, Tyler did however launch Janie's Fund - a victim for victims of child abuse.

In 2014, the band again had to cancel tour commitments due to the drummer's heart condition.
