Azerbaijan violates ceasefire with anti-aircraft autocannon overnight

PanARMENIAN.Net - The operative situation remained unchanged on the Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line overnight on April 21-22.

70 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani side were registered, with the rival shooting from various caliber firearms, an RPG-7 grenade launcher, as well as a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft twin-barreled autocannon.

The Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army’s frontline units continue controlling the situations on the contact line and protecting their positions.

Azerbaijan keeps destabilizing the situation with provocative actions on the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh, despite a previously reached verbal agreement on the cessation of hostilities.

On April 21, at around 6:30am, a Karabakh serviceman, Marat Danielyan (b. 1984) received a fatal gunshot wound in an Azerbaijani attack in the northern (Talish) direction of the contact line.

An investigation into the details of the incident is underway.
