Wounded Karabakh soldier's condition assessed as extremely criticalMay 16, 2016 - 12:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Health Minister Gagik Mirijanyan on Friday, May 13 visited Nagorno Karabakh serviceman Hovhannes Poghosyan who had earlier received a gunshot wound on the contact line with Azerbaijan. The soldier’s condition is assessed as extremely critical. The serviceman was wounded as Azerbaijan violated the verbal agreement on the ceasefire overnight on May 13-14. Poghosyan was transferred to the Armenian Defense Ministry's Central Clinical Military Hospital from Karabakh. While on duty, he received a serious perforating cranial gunshot wound, cerebral contusion and other multiple fractures. Currently in coma, he is placed on mechanical ventilation. During the visit, the Deputy Minister discussed the soldier's condition and the details of his treatment with the doctors.
