Qatar Airways launches in Armenia with maiden flight to Doha

PanARMENIAN.Net - Qatar Airways on Sunday, May 15 launched regular round-trip flights from Doha to Yerevan.

The company offers Doha-Yerevan-Doha regular flights four times per week, promising a large portfolio of services to its passengers.

“Situated at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Armenia can easily become a transit zone,” Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Hugh Dunleavy told reporters in Yerevan on Monday.

“We have extremely positive attitude towards Armenia, having signed a host of agreements and established sound relations here.”

According to him, Qatar Airways is planning to increase the number of Yerevan-bound flights over time.

Also Monday, Dunleavy met with Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

Welcoming the guests in his office, the PM hailed the company’s entering the Armenian market, hoping it will further develop economic relations between Armenia and Qatar.
