Armenia may raise question of lost Karabakh areas during talks: Minister

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian side never forgets about the Karabakh territories lost during the 4-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan in early April, the Defense Minister said Monday, May 23.

“Those territories are located within the Nagorno Karabakh Republic,” Tert.am cited Seyran Ohanyan as saying.

“I believe the issue will be discussed during negotiations.”

President Serzh Sargsyan said earlier that the Armenian side that controls some 800,000 hectares of land as a “safety zone” around Karabakh, lost some 800 hectares (around 8 square kilometers) in the course of 4-day. According to him, those lands have no tactical or strategic importance.
