Jere Council headquarters is north east and just about 7 km drive from Maiduguri, the state capital. This development is coming barely three days after two out of the five displaced emirs of Askira/Uba Local Government Area returned to their domain after spending two years in Maiduguri due to Boko Haram attacks.
