Netflix adds new feature as picture-in-picture support hits iPad

PanARMENIAN.Net - Your Netflix and chill sessions are about to go up a notch, as the streaming service has just dropped a seriously cool new feature, Digital Spy said.

Letting you catch up on your latest Breaking Bad or House of Cards binge session while carrying on the rest of your life, the Netflix iPad app has added picture-in-picture support for the first time.

Thanks to the latest update, those sporting an iPad can now pull their video player out into a pop out window, sticking it in the corner of the screen while still browsing the web, answering emails or, well, pretty much doing anything else front and centre, Digital Spy said.

Despite Apple adding picture-in-picture viewing support for iPad owners last September with the drop of the iOS 9 update, it's taken until now for Netflix to play nice with the party piece addition.

To make use of Netflix's picture-in-picture skills, you'll need to update the app to version 8.7.0 and ensure your iPad is running iOS 9.3.2 or later.
