Defense Ministry confirms Armenia’s ammo sale to Congo

PanARMENIAN.Net - The information on export of weapons from Armenia to Congo is true, Defense Ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said Friday, June 17.

PanARMENIAN.Net earlier reported that Armenia last secured an arms export deal back in 2014 when ammunition worth about $1.5 million were sent to Congo.

“Armenia has lawfully exported arms and ammunition, currently out of use, to the Democratic Republic of Congo,” Hovhannisyan said.

Congo is the only country to receive Armenian ammo, with some 1500 units of weaponry with a $1.468.000 customs value exported overall.
