Yerevan Color Run gathers 1500 youths, seeks to help homeless kidsJuly 9, 2016 - 15:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan Color Run charity marathon was held in the Armenian capital for the second time on Saturday, July 9. The running event lasted about four hours, with participants setting off from Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex and throwing powder coating onto each other. Yerevan Color Run promised to be the most happy and bright five kilometers in the participants' life, and it was. It is a marathon and a party at the same time, which takes place in many countries of the world including Russia, the U.S., Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Ireland.
Some 1500 runners took part in the event this year, up from 1000 during last year's run. One of the main goals of the event was to help homeless children in Gyumri.
