President marks achievements, flaws in judicial reforms planJuly 22, 2016 - 17:03 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday, July 22 held a meeting on judicial reforms in Armenia, the presidential press service reports. With heads of relevant agencies also participating, the meeting addressed the implementation of 2012-2016 Legal and Judicial Reforms plan, approved by President Sargsyan. The strategic plan aims to establish a legal system and judiciary in line with standards of a modern democratic state. According to Sargsyan, the project is of crucial importance in terms of the development of Armenia’s legal and judiciary system, and its proper implementation is extremely important for the sustainability of reforms. Summarizing the meeting, the attendees agreed that both positive achievements and serious flaws have been registered during the four years of the project’s implementation. Also, the President instructed relevant authorities to do their utmost to effectively implement unfulfilled programs by year-end.
