GoPro to bring fresh feature to upcoming Hero 5 cameraAugust 4, 2016 - 15:04 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - While GoPro looks to diversify its product range to the realms of virtual reality and drones, it's still best known for the resistant rectangle known as the Hero. After seeing rivals compete heavily with its last flagship camera, though, the pressure is on the company to produce a market-leader with the presumptively named Hero 5, Digital Spy said. Thanks to a leak from GoPro enthusiast Konrad Iturbe, we now have an idea about a fresh feature the company could be bringing to the upcoming camera. A short shows what he claims may be the user interface for GoPro's Hero 5 action camera, with a touch-based interface potentially set to make its first mark on the range. Iturbe told Mashable the footage, which could simply be a concept mock-up GoPro is testing internally, was collected from the GoPro app. The video shows three sections on the touchscreen GoPro Hero camera - GoPro App, Remote and Sniper. While Iturbe indicates the latter could be in relation to a microphone attachment, there's currently no way to be sure. Considering how little is known about the camera, which is set to release later this year, it's also hard to know just how accurate the leak is. One thing is always certain, though - more will follow. Photo: GoPro Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
