According to him, Armenia needed more gas last month: “We accepted their proposal and increased gas export. But, we’ll reduce gas export from next month because a certain volume is provided in the contract”. Araqi also touched upon sale of Turkmen gas to Azerbaijan through Iran: “This will be realized by a private Iranian company. This company is not linked with Azerbaijani and Iranian governments. The company will buy gas from Turkmenistan and deliver to us. And we plan to sell it to Azerbaijan. We are now discussing this issue”.
