Sasna Tsrer member meets Tigran Mansuryan, ends hunger strikeAugust 9, 2016 - 13:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of Sasna Tsrer group, painter Ashot Petrosyan, who is currently in prison met with composer Tigran Mansuryan on August 8, Petrosyan’s lawyer, Arayik Papikyan told Panorama.am. After the meeting, Ashot Petrosyan ended his hunger strike and allowed the medical staff to proceed with treatment. Papikyan said that he couldn’t share any more details concerning the content of Mansuryan-Petrosyan meeting. “It was a meeting between two intellectuals, which lasted more than an hour. It’s good that the after the meeting Ashot Petrosyan ended his hunger strike and agreed to continue medical treatment as he has a serious gunshot wound.” Earlier, the lawyer informed that Petrosyan had requested a meeting with Tigran Mansuryan and Robert Amirkhanyan. However, contacting Robert Amirkhanyan was impossible, so according to the lawyer they would try again. Petrosyan has been charged with Part 3 of Article 219 of the RA Criminal Code (Occupation of buildings, facilities, means of transportation or communication by an organized group) and Part 3 of the Article 235 (Illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices by an organized group). The crimes are punished with imprisonment for the term of 6 to 12 and 3 to 8 years respectively.
