Tehran hosts political consultations between Armenia, Iran![]() September 19, 2016 - 12:18 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Political consultations between Armenian and Iranian Foreign Ministries were held in Tehran on Sunday, September 18. Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan led the Armenian delegation, while Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia and the Pacific Affairs Ebrahim Rahimpour led the Iranian one. The parties discussed a broad scope of issues on the development of bilateral ties, stressing the need for ensuring security and stability in the region. Also in the limelight of consultations was the implementation of bilateral and multilateral economic projects. Also Sunday, Kocharyan met with Iran’s Vice Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi to discuss issues of mutual interest. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
