“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” trailer reveals plot details (video) October 13, 2016 - 18:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Disney and LucasFilm have unveiled a second trailer for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” highlighting the development of the iconic Death Star and the rebel plans to stop it, Variety reports. The new trailer launched Thursday, October 13 morning on “Good Morning America” a day after the release of the latest poster. The trailer focuses on Felicity Jones’ Jyn Erso and her father Galen Erso, played by Mads Mikkelsen. Ben Mendelsohn appears as main villain Orson Krennic, who tells Darth Vader about the “immeasurable” power of the Death Star. “We have hope,” Jones’ character declares to her rebel crewmates. “Rebellions are built on hope.” “Rogue One” is the first spinoff from the Star Wars franchise and comes a year before “Star Wars: Episode VIII.” The tentpole opens Dec. 16. It’s directed by Gareth Edwards from a script by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy. “Rogue One” also stars Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, and Forest Whitaker as the members of Erso’s crew.
