Trent Reznor confirms he’s working on new Nine Inch Nails music

PanARMENIAN.Net - Trent Reznor has confirmed that he is working on new music for a future Nine Inch Nails release, NME reports.

The American musician has been in demand as a film composer in recent years, collaborating with Atticus Ross on the soundtracks of three David Fincher’s films: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl and The Social Network, for which the pair won an Academy Award.

Reznor now appears to be turning his attention back to Nine Inch Nails. In an interview on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show yesterday (October 20), he hinted that fans might not have to wait too much longer for a follow-up to 2013’s ‘Hesitation Marks’.

“We’ve been working on Nine Inch Nails stuff,” he said, referring to his collaborator Ross. “Things are going good and when we have something that we think is excellent we will unleash it upon the world.”

Earlier this month, Reznor suggested that new NIN material might arrive before the end of the year, telling a fan “2016 is not over yet”.

Most recently, Reznor scored Leonardo DiCaprio’s new climate change documentary Before The Flood together with Atticus Ross, Mogwai, and Argentine film composer Gustavo Santaolalla.
