A new report has emerged suggesting that Bad Robot and Paramount Pictures' "God Particle", a sci-fi movie which is produced by J.J. Abrams, is actually the third installment of the "Cloverfield" movie franchise, AceShowbiz said. A source with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap that Abrams and Paramount are also quietly developing more movies for the shared "Cloverfield" universe. The insider adds that they plan a new movie to be released annually. Both parties have not given any comment regarding the report. "God Particle" is currently in post-production. Directed by Julius Onah from a script written by Oren Uziel and Doug Jung, it follows a team of astronauts aboard a space station who, after a shocking discovery, is forced to fight for survival while their reality has been altered. Starring David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, John Krasinski, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Bruhl, Chris O'Dowd, Zhang Ziyi and John Ortiz, the sci-fi horror movie is coming to U.S. theaters on February 24, 2017.
