Armenia Culture Minister joins ruling Republican Party

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Culture Minister Armen Amiryan said Wednesday, January 25 that he has joined the ruling Republican Party (RPA).

"I believe everyone who holds political office should from now on - in accordance with the new Constitution - take on political responsibility too," Amiryan explained.

"As part of Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan's team, I must assume political responsibility."

An Armenian Radio and TV host and former Executive Director of Public Radio of Armenia, Amiryan was named in early October, 2016 to replace Hasmik Poghosyan as the Minister of Culture.
