Armenia returns body of Azerbaijani saboteur

PanARMENIAN.Net - The body of an Azerbaijani soldier who was killed as Azeri troops were attempting to infiltrate the border with Armenia was returned to Azerbaijan on Sunday, February 5, in a transfer facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The handover took place on the road between the Armenian town of Ijevan and the Azerbaijani town of Gazakh along the international border.

Also, another Azerbaijani soldier was taken captive in the aftermath of the failed operation.

The ICRC has been carrying out humanitarian work related to the Karabakh conflict since 1992.
