According to video footage posted online, BTR-82A APCs were shipped to Azerbaijan under an agreement on military-technical cooperation between the two countries. Alongside the ammunition, Russia will also provide trainings for the personnel operating the equipment. In 2007-2008, Azerbaijan received 24 units of BTR-80A carriers from Russia.
