William Saroyan's house-museum to open in Fresno next year

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Intellectual Renaissance Foundation, in the framework of the Saroyan House project, started the construction work of the well-known Armenian writer William Saroyan's house-museum in Fresno, which is set to open in summer of 2018.

The foundation acquired the writer's house in 2015, and for about a year the foundation was engaged in studying the life and work of Saroyan, searching and collecting the materials about him, as well as working together with Storaket architectural studio to develop a house-museum concept.

The construction work starts with exterior reconstruction, and after reaching corresponding agreements with Fresno City Hall, interior work will also start.

Opening of the house-museum is slated for August 31, 2018, on the 110th anniversary of the writer's birth.
