Armenia receives security guarantees for Euronest conference in Baku

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian delegation has received security guarantees for participating in the Euronest conference in Baku, head of Armenian parliament’s committee on foreign affairs Armen Ashotyan said, Aysor.am reports.

According to Ashotyan, Armenia attaches great importance to presence in European venues where there is an opportunity to discuss various issues.

“We have no complexes limiting us. If it is decided to hold an event in Baku, we want and can go to Baku,” the lawmaker said.

Ashotyan said two days ago the Azerbaijani parliament sent a letter to the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs with security guarantees for all the participants.

“This is a basis for us to continue preparing for the event,” he added.

An international conference titled “Responsibilities of parliaments for the implementation of UN Sustainable Development Goals No. 3 and 5 - health and gender issues in the Eastern Partnership region” will be held on September 22-23 in Baku.
