Armenian singer shares first spot at major Russian competition

PanARMENIAN.Net - Erna Mir (Mirzoyan) representing Armenia at New Wave, a major Russian music competition held in Sochi, shared the first spot with singers from Uzbekistan and Moldova after the event ended on Wednesday, September 13.

Erna collected a total of 362 points after performing Bruno Mars' '24K Magic' on the first day of the competition.

On the second day, the Armenian soloist performed a song about her homeland and went on to sing a fresh song on the third day.

Another of Armenia's representative, Syuzanna Melkonyan gathered 357 points the second spot.

New Wave is an international contest for young performers of popular music founded in 2002, which usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days and, at the end, the day where the contest's results are announced followed by an ending concert.
