The agency says the number of Indian citizens arriving in Armenia and deciding to settle in the country has been increasing since 2015. According to the fresh data, 1119 Indian citizens were granted residency status in 2015, 1086 in 2016, 938 in 2017 and as many as 2000 in 2018 It is noteworthy that those coming from the south Asian country received predominantly temporary residency statuses, chiefly for receiving education in Armenia. The growth in the number of arrivals of Indian citizens in Armenia is also due to the visa policies adopted by Armenia in recent years.
