Remains of seven more soldiers, one civilian recovered in Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - The remains of seven Nagorno-Karabakh servicemen and one civilian were recovered on Monday, January 18, according to Karabakh's State Service for Emergency Situations.

The bodies were discovered near Hadrut, Jabrayil and Vorotan (Kubatlu). The civilian whose body was discovered on Monday has been identified as Arsen Ghahramanyan (b. 1976) from the village of Aygestan in Hadrut.

Since November 13, the Nagorno-Karabakh rescue teams have found the bodies and remains of 1246 soldiers and civilians. Family members and parents of missing soldiers are also participating in the process.

Search operations will continue in Hadrut, Varanda (Fizuli) and Jrakan (Jabrayil) and Kovsakan (Zangelan) on Tuesday.

The Armenian Health Ministry said in early January that the bodies or remains of 3,360 servicemen have been examined since the beginning of the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. The names of less than 2000 servicemen killed in hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan against the Armenians of Karabakh have been published by Defense authorities so far.
