Putin: Russia-Armenia relations brought to “high allied level”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, September 19 sent a message to the participants of the IX Armenian-Russian Interregional Conference, noting that Russia and Armenia have accumulated extensive experience in cooperation in various areas.

“This year our countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance,” Putin said in a statement published on the Kremlin’s website.

“It is important that over the past period a lot of experience has been achieved in constructive cooperation between Russia and Armenia in various areas, bilateral relations have been brought to a high allied level.”

The IX Armenian-Russian Interregional Conference is currently underway in Yerevan. Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk are taking part in the plenary session.
