In his speech, the chairman of the party Artur Vanetsyan weighed in on the resignation of the mayor of Yerevan and noted that the government will try to “use the moment and make another attempt to reproduce through snap elections in order to convince the world and our public that they allegedly enjoy the trust of the Armenian public and act on their behalf.” Vanetsyan expressed his conviction that in reality the government does not have public trust. Referring to the ongoing processes surrounding Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh), Vanetsyan noted that lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is possible only in the case of a balanced and fair solution to all problems, therefore any attempt to reach an agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which ignores the Artsakh problem and the vital interests of the Armenians of Artsakh, including the right to self-determination, is doomed to failure and cannot guarantee lasting peace. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
