Belarus opposition leader slams Lukashenko for Karabakh trip

PanARMENIAN.Net - Belarusian opposition politician Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has harshly criticized the visit of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to Nagorno-Karabakh.

“Ironically, the Belarus dictator once again undermines Armenia, his formal ally in the CSTO, and flies to assist Azerbaijan in Karabakh,” Tsikhanouskaya said in a post on X.

“This illustrates the weakness of Russian 'military alliances' and Lukashenka’s own hypocrisy. The criminal regime only cares for its own survival at all costs.”

Lukashenko traveled to Karabakh with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Friday, May 17.

Nagorno-Karabakh fell completely under Azerbaijan’s control after Baku launched a massive offensive in September 2023 and forced the entire indegenous Armenian population out of their historic homeland.
