Allocations from the Zinapah fund exceed AMD 105bn![]() February 4, 2025 - 13:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Insurance Foundation for Servicemen, funded by taxpayers’ mandatory contributions and asset management, serves as the primary guarantor of social protection for the families of soldiers who were killed, went missing, or were injured during military service. Between 2017 and 2025, the total amount collected by the foundation has reached AMD 222.9 billion. In 2024 alone, AMD 45.4 billion were collected, reports CivilNet. Currently, the foundation has 5,484 beneficiaries, including: -4,555 families of fallen servicemen -248 relatives of missing servicemen -681 families of disabled servicemen Since the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, the foundation's allocations have surged dramatically. In 2019, 822 million drams were distributed, while in 2020, the amount increased tenfold to 8 billion drams. The upward trend continued in 2021, reaching 44.4 billion drams. However, allocations declined in 2022 and 2023, amounting to 16.8 billion drams and 14.7 billion drams, respectively. In January 2024, allocations totaled AMD 1.5 billion, while the full-year projection stands at AMD 21.5 billion. The foundation's revenues from asset management have also shown growth, rising from AMD 1.8 billion in 2021 to an expected AMD 25.3 billion in 2025.
