Russian defense chief: situation around Syunik remains tense

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov has stated that tensions continue around Armenia’s Syunik Province.

He emphasized that Moscow is interested in helping Baku and Yerevan reach a peaceful agreement, according to TASS.

“Tension around Armenia’s Syunik Province persists,” Belousov said.

On May 29, between 01:00 and 01:15 a.m., units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the village of Khoznavar in Syunik Province, damaging a residential home.
