Tashir Group headquarters raided amid investigation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Investigative Committee confirmed that a search was conducted at the Tashir Group’s headquarters as part of an ongoing criminal case, according to Pastinfo.

The Committee stated: “Urgent investigative actions are being carried out within the framework of a criminal proceeding under investigation by the Investigative Committee.”

On June 18, Samvel Karapetyan was arrested for two months and taken to Armavir penitentiary for making “a public call aimed at seizing powers assigned to the Armenian government.”

Just hours earlier, Karapetyan had made a statement in support of the Armenian Apostolic Church: “I stand with our church and our people. No matter how much they try to defame us, I couldn’t care less about them or their electric grid. Everything will be fine—the people will speak, and they’ll realize they were wrong.”

In response, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote: “Why are the depraved ‘clergymen’ and their depraved ‘philanthropists’ so active? No worries—we’ll silence them again. For good.” Later, he added that the electric grid must be nationalized quickly.
