In Washington, the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the U.S.—Nikol Pashinyan, Ilham Aliyev, and Donald Trump—officially reached an agreement to launch the “Trump Route.” Putin and Trump are scheduled to meet in Alaska on August 15. “The route will allow Azerbaijan to reach Nakhchivan while fully respecting Armenia’s sovereignty. Armenia is also forming an exclusive partnership with the U.S. to develop this corridor, with its duration possibly extended up to 99 years—with a promise of further extension for another 99 years. We expect significant infrastructure development. American companies are eager to enter these countries and invest heavily, which will bring economic benefits to all three nations,” said Trump.
