Erdogan: Turkey was blamed for backing Baku in 44-day war

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of Turkey and leader of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated during the presentation of the AKP's Turkic World Vision document that Turkey was blamed for supporting Azerbaijan during the 44-day war. He noted that these criticisms came both from within the country and from abroad.

In his speech, Erdoğan sharply criticized the opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), accusing it of having a distorted attitude toward the Turkic world, as reported by Factor.am .

“CHP, representing a single-party mindset and still maintaining its stance today, continues to view the Turkic world through a distorted and erroneous perspective. We saw this again during the 44-day patriotic struggle in Karabakh. I want to draw your attention to the news spread by our country’s enemies. They accused Turkey of aiding Azerbaijan.

Do you remember? The CHP’s foreign policy spokesperson came out and said exactly this: ‘Unfortunately, reports indicate that Turkey is supplying weapons to Azerbaijan, and according to the news, jihadist groups are being sent to Azerbaijan,’” Erdoğan stated.

Earlier, Erdoğan had claimed that “Turkish soldiers achieved victory in Libya and Karabakh.”
