Searches reportedly target local crime figures in Yerevan![]() March 26, 2026 - 14:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Law enforcement officers conducted searches at around 20 addresses in Yerevan. Officers from the Criminal Police, together with employees of the Investigative Committee, carried out the operations across the capital. According to Factor.am, the searches were not related to any political figures. “The searches were conducted in the apartments of neighborhood authorities, with the aim of discovering illegal weapons, ammunition, and narcotics. It has also become known that the ongoing operations have already been completed,” the report said. The Interior Ministry did not provide details on the nature or purpose of the searches, while the Investigative Committee stated only that necessary investigative and procedural actions were being carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
