The information was announced by his lawyer, Varazdat Harutyunyan, on Facebook. “Another charge has been brought against Lieutenant General Tiran Khachatryan, allegedly for committing hooliganism by striking a vehicle that was being driven at high speed toward citizens who had blocked a street in September 2023. Moreover, after taking no action for three years in proceedings initiated in 2023, only recently was a rushed decision made to bring charges, complete the preliminary investigation, and send the case to court with an indictment,” Harutyunyan stated. No additional details regarding the charge or the court proceedings were provided in the lawyer’s statement. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
