Vardevanyan comments on Karapetyan's "secret plan"

PanARMENIAN.Net - Aram Vardevanyan, representing the Strong Armenia alliance, said he sees no reason for concern that alliance chairman Samvel Karapetyan's statement about a "secret plan" to remove Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan could become grounds for a new criminal case.

He added that there is nothing unusual or problematic about the statement, Panorama.am reported.

"You all remember that the phrase 'we will participate in defending the Church in our own way' could be interpreted as a call to seize power by force. Even breathing in and out could also be interpreted as a call to seize power by force. In terms of substance, however, there is certainly nothing risky or extraordinary in it. Every political force seeks a change of government. Some pursue that goal publicly, while others do so privately. There is nothing unusual or problematic here. I believe Mr. Karapetyan presented it in a very positive way, and I think the public reaction will be more than positive," he said.
