Avanesyan attends WHO ministerial meeting in Istanbul

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia's Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan is attending a ministerial conference in Istanbul organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe.

The conference has brought together health ministers, senior government officials and public health experts to discuss improving healthcare systems' preparedness and emergency response during earthquakes, while also promoting the exchange of experience and closer international cooperation.

Given the region's high seismic risks and the significant impact natural disasters, particularly earthquakes, can have on healthcare systems, Armenia considers this format of international cooperation important for strengthening national capacities and sharing best practices.
