Rose grower linked to wanted businessman may get tariff relief

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian government plans to grant another customs benefit to Roselin By Kok, a rose-growing company operating in Akunk in Kotayk Province, exempting it from 83 million drams in customs duties. The proposal has been included on the agenda of the government’s July 16 meeting.

Roselin By Kok is managed and solely owned by Yuri Kokobelyan. He is the nephew of Khachatur Kokobelyan, chairman of the Free Democrats party, Aysor.am reports.

According to the State Register of Legal Entities, Roselin By Kok was registered on June 17, 2025. The company has had 28 jobs with an average monthly salary of 260,000 drams. Under its investment program, it plans to increase the workforce to 39 by 2027 while maintaining the same average monthly pay.

Law enforcement authorities declared Yuri Kokobelyan wanted in the summer of 2024. Media reports said he had driven a vehicle without a driver’s license.

The company plans to import equipment worth a total of 1.6 billion drams from countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union for rose cultivation.

The government has already granted the same company a benefit this year. In January, Roselin By Kok was exempted from paying 81.5 million drams in customs duties.
