Syrian President to cover education costs of Armenian girl

PanARMENIAN.Net - On Christ Resurrection Day, Syrian President Basar Ashad visited Cross organization's charity asylum situated in Aleppo, Syria. The next day, President received asylum representative in his residence to donate them monetary assistance in the amount of $ 10 thousand.



President recently fulfilled his promise to help an Armenian girl to further her education in a French University.



Since 1935, Aleppo's charity asylum has been under the patronage of Syrian Cross organization. Its activities are aimed at assisting in the solution of Armenian community's social problems. Since its inception, the asylum has given shelter 2 thousand Armenian children from socially insecure families.
