Moscow cinema hosts Kinoashun national cinema month opening ceremonyOctober 11, 2010 - 19:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow cinema is hosting an opening ceremony of Kinoashun national cinema month to last till November 10. The festival will be opened by Artavazd Peleshyan’s documentary, We. “The festival will be the first step towards restoring the Armenian cinema to Armenian people, providing the public with an access to the national cinema,” Armenian National Film Center director Gevorg Gevorgyan stressed in his opening speech. The festival, to be made an annual event, will feature 100 Armenian movies released in different years. Jubilee events to honor Armenian cinema workers, round table discussions and seminars will be held within festival framework. A film review contest is also on festival agenda, with AMD 100 thousand prize established for the author of best review. Kinoashun festival was organized with the assistance of Armenian Ministry of Culture, under the aegis of Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan.
