Serzh Sargsyan: international community should display will to recognize and condemn genocides

PanARMENIAN.Net - Recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide is extremely important for prevention of future crimes against humanity, Armenian President stated.

In his opening remarks at the “The Crime of Genocide: Prevention, condemnation and elimination of consequences” international conference, Serzh Sargsyan said mechanisms should be worked out to prevent genocides.

“The international community should display will to recognize and condemn genocides. However, we still face the facts of distorted history. Various regimes try to impose their invented stories on the international community,” he said.

“By the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide we will press for the international recognition of this crime against humanity. The Armenian Genocide is the pain of each Armenian family,” the Presidents concluded.
