EDB facilitates turnover among its member statesDecember 16, 2010 - 16:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - EDB Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Managing Director for Investments Marat Djaukenov said that the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) has already signed four project with banks of member states, out of which 2 projects are implemented in Armenia. The total amount of projects for Kazakhstan and Armenia made $94mln, Djaukenov said in Yerevan on December 16. “The funds have been allocated for the development of energy, food industry, agriculture, pharmaceutics, maintenance of trade turnover between the EDB member states,” said Djaukenov. He added that 1,800 jobs have been created in Kazakhstan and Armenia, including 600 jobs in Armenia, through the EDB funds. On December 16, Ameriabank CJSC and EDB signed an agreement in Yerevan, under which the Armenian bank will receive a $30mln credit line for financing small and medium enterprises. The EDB was established by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006 to facilitate market economy development in its member states. The bank authorized capital is above $1.5bln.
