Armenia, EU discuss defense cooperation perspectives

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with the Managing Director for Russia, Eastern Neighbourhood and the Western Balkans, EU European External Action Service Miroslav Lajcak.

The meeting focused on Armenia-EU military cooperation. As Defence Minister noted, Armenia-implemented defence policy is consonant with EU European Neighbourhood values.

Mr. Ohanyan also briefed the guest on reforms implemented in NKR, envisaging creation of armed forces’ democratic and civil control mechanisms. On Mr. Lajcak’s request, the Minister updated him about the situation on the line of contact, Armenian Defence Ministry press service reported.
