Videos compromising Armenian opposition appear on YouTube

PanARMENIAN.Net - Two videos compromising the Armenian opposition have appeared on YouTube.

The recordings titled “The real face of Levon Ter Petrosyan (HAK) - part 1 and part 2” prove that the March 1 rally in front of the mayor’s office on March 1 was not spontaneous but organized and orchestrated by the Armenian National Congress (ANC) leaders.

The materials also show the scornful and abusive attitude of Levon Per-Petrosyan’s election headquarters leader Alexander Arzumanyan towards his colleagues and opposition supporters, his satisfaction with the arsons of police cars and plunder of Yerevan City supermarket belonging to entrepreneur Samvel Alexanyan.

It’s noteworthy that a number of new materials on the tragic events of March 1 and 2, 2008 have been posted on YouTube recently.

From February 20, 2008, the Armenian opposition led by first president Levon Ter-Petrossian, who ran for presidency but failed, held rallies in the center of Yerevan, protesting against the election results. The protest actions resulted in unrest and clashes between the police and rally participants on March 1-2, when around 200 people were injured, 10 people killed, and over 100 arrested.
