Euromoney names Ameriabank best Armenian bank of 2011 July 8, 2011 - 15:34 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank cjsc was awarded a Superiority Prize of a leading journal Euromoney as the best Armenian bank in 2011, according to Ameriabank’s retail banking director Vazrik Sekoyan. “Official award ceremony took place on July 7 in London,” Sekoyan told a press conference in Yerevan. He noted that when choosing a winner Euromoney organizers took into consideration such indicators as rapid growth and enhancement of the bank activity at the local market, implementation of new services, as well as introduction of two trade systems AMERIA GLOBAL and TRADING WEB TRAIDER. Successful merger with Cascade Bank in 2010 and efficient cooperation with a range of international organizations for the last two years was taken into account as well. In turn, the bank’s development director Tigran Jrbashyan emphasized significance of the award and expressed hope that Euromoney’s competitor Financial Times will also award the bank with a high estimate by the yearend. “At least all current indices prove that Financial Times will praise our activity highly,” Jrbashyan said.
