Raffi Niziblyan: System of a Down will not give concert in Sept. in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 21 press conference within the framework of opening ceremony of Tumo center for creative technologies, Fujifilm Studios represenatative Armen Kupelyan noted that rumor about concert of System of a Down in Yerevan in Sept. is not true.

“At present neither Armenian company negotiates with managers of System of a Down. You may ask directly Serj Tankian, if you want, he will be here in some three weeks,” said Kupelyan.

Director of Deem Communications Raffi Niziblyan told PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that rumor about Sept. 21 concert of System of a Down in Yerevan is not true.

“I assure you that System of a Down will not arrive in Yerevan in September. If it were true the information would be on the band’s website,” Niziblyan said.

As the Director of Deem Communications stressed, managers of Tankian and System of a Down are different persons from different companies.

Earlier on Youtube there was a video, where SOAD bass guitar Shavo Odadjian said in Moscow that group will be happy to visit Moscow with a concert and will be in Armenia soon. Rumors go round that the band members expressed willingness to perform in Armenia on April 24, Armenian Genocide Commemoration Day.

This is the first tour of the rock band for the past 5 years after reuniting.
