Opposition rally kicks off in Yerevan despite 40C heat

PanARMENIAN.Net - The rally of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) started at Yerevan’s Liberty Square despite 40C heat.

The rally brought together several hundred people, a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reported from the ground.

The Square was watered beforehand to make the heat tolerable.

Previous ANC rally took place on June 30, hosting 4000 demonstrators. The rally was opened by the amnestied oppositionist, Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper editor-in-chief Nikol Pashinyan.
