Armenian Foreign Minister awards Karekin II with commemorative medal

PanARMENIAN.Net - Annual meetings of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with diplomats accredited abroad were accomplished with a gathering in Holy Etchmiadzin, where the diplomats met with His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

During the meeting, the diplomats discussed church-state relations, issues regarding their further activity and settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Armenia’s regional and bilateral policy, as well as ways to foster protection of Armenian citizens’ rights abroad, according to RA Foreign Ministry press service.

Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian thanked the church for its contribution to preserving the Armenian cultural heritage abroad. He also congratulated the Catholicos on his 60th anniversary and handed him a commemorative medal.
