  Armenian-Syrian relations not endangered, diplomat saysSeptember 9, 2011 - 09:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian-Syrian relations are not endangered, a diplomat said. According to former Armenia’s ambassador to Syria David Hovhannisyan, internal tensions cannot somehow affect the status of Armenian-Syrian relations. The Armenian community of Syria was formed by the 1915 Genocide survivors and numbers about 65-70 thousand people. Local Armenians enjoy good reputation and are praised for engagement in the political and social activities of the country. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
