Armenian PM briefed on Syunik mining companies activitiesSeptember 12, 2011 - 13:11 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On the sidelines of a 3-day visit to Armenia’s Syunik province, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Agarak Copper and Molybdenum Combine. The Prime Minister was briefed on the plans of the enterprise, envisaging annual output increase from 2,7 to 3,5 mln tons of ore in 2012. Complete reconstruction of the processing plant was initiated to achieve the goal, to be completed in late 2011. A visit to Kajaran- based Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine was on PM Sargsyan’s agenda. The annual output of Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine totals 12,8 mln tons of ore meant for consumption at local and foreign markets.
